In 1986 Mondaine converted the clock's legendary face and bold hands into wristwatch form. This one-of-a-kind, easily readable watch has become one of the true design classics recognized around the world. The straightforward and unadorned shape of the case make this watch a true time icon.
Design art at its best and a true classic: developed by SBB for the station in 1944, put on the wrist by Mondaine in 1986 as the Official Swiss Railways Watch. Since then, this watch is not a status symbol, but a statement. The linear design is inspired by the Bauhaus and stands for clarity and sustainability. Quite simply: the Swiss original.
All Mondaine watches stand for Swiss quality and watchmaking tradition. They are handcrafted in our factory in Solothurn, Switzerland. Every watch is tested there for water resistance to 30 meters and receives an international guarantee of two years.

The Automatic watch is housed in our legendary evo2 case creating a harmonious, fluid design. The rounded, organic shape of the 35mm diameter brushed stainless steel case adds to the comfortable wear of this timepiece. A true design highlight is the see-through case back allowing you to see how the complex automatic movement works. The iconic Mondaine dial with date indication and the black vegan strap add the finishing touches. The watch has a vegan grape leather strap in black which consists of 75% eco-friendly plant-based composite material and 25% recycled PET.
