Escaparate Habanos Photograph Frame
This frame features the legendary photograph taken at the Partagas Factory in 2000.
Between making and packing, the cigars are taken to the conditioning room or "Escaparate". Here in cedar lined drawers, they are left to rest while they shed the excess moisture that was gained in the rolling process. They are meant to stay for minimum one week, however, the longer they stay there, the better.
The Escaparate room is often referred to as the "treasury". It is here that the wealth of a factory is stored. The cigars were stored in bundles of 50, known as media reeds, or "half wheels".
This photo was taken in the Partagas Factory, Escaparate, 2000/. La Habana, Cuba

La Gloria Cubana Frame
This frame features a beautifully printed image of the beloved Cuban cigar brand. The image is printed on a high gloss paper and featured gold coloured foil print to highlight the coins, swords and lettering on the photo.
La Gloria Cubana stands as arguably the rarest and most sought after of the Cuban cigar brands amongst aficionados and collectors. This reputation is well merited by virtue of its very low market share amongst Habanos S.A exports and its quality, worthy of its rightfully boastful name.

ABOUT DON ALEJANDRO ROBAINA
Vegas Robaina may have only been established as an official Habanos brand in 1997, however it would be hard to imagine the history of Cuban tobacco cultivation without the family behind this now well-known brand.
The late Don Alejandro Robaina came from a proud lineage of tobacco growers whose presence in the San Luis region of the Vuelta Abajo extends back to 1845. The astounding stewardship over the vegas’ (fields) of Chuchillas de Barbacao is proven by the fact that around 80% of each crop harvest is used as Habanos wrappers worthy of international export. This number is particularly impressive in comparison to the 35% average of the competing plantations.
Perhaps long-overdue, the Robaina legacy was recognized with their own brand in 1997, emerging as second of two younger lines created in the decade. The official launch took place on June 6 in Madrid, with Don Robaina at 78 years of age, in attendance at the lavish inauguration.
Well beyond a brand Don Robaina was a personification of the Cuban vegueros’ spirit, an incredibly sociable and endlessly hospitable man, his plantation a mandatory pit-stop for tourists and cigar aficionados the world over. Don Alejandro Robaina died on April 17, 2010 leaving an unshakeable legacy.
Don Alejandro Robaina passed away in 2010.
