The Material - Steamed Ash
Besides beech and oak, ash is one of the most important indigenous deciduous timbers. It is to be found in Europe, most frequently in the more northerly regions. For our purposes, the wood is briefly heated to a very high temperature.
In this process it attains high resistance to water, the grain is accentuated and the wood takes on its brown colour. In order to preserve the naturalness of the surface, however, it is treated only with oil, not lacquered. This provides the wood with perfect protection against water and makes it particularly long-lasting.
A noble design and mechanical precision. The MÜHLE safety razor with closed comb promises a thorough yet gentle shave. Unlike the safety razor with an open comb, the foam edge has no teeth. In combination with a slightly steeper blade angle, this safety razor promises a particularly gentle shaving technique, which is also suitable for beginners with a little practice. An extremely fine, dense and creamy soap which affords accurate and profound shaving and protects the skin, leaving it soft and moisturised. It is produced with the hot saponification process. To obtain the right creamy consistency, the reaction continues for another whole night during which the ingredients, oils, fatty acids and alkalis are mixed and blended together. The soap cools gradually under slow mixing, losing any trace of the alkalis, which are aggressive for the skin. Deposited in steel containers, after 3-4 days it reaches the right structure and stability: it is perfect for respecting the dermis and for interacting with the structure of the hairs. This unique process makes the soap more effective in protecting the skin and in the gliding of the razor.
Enriched with the addition of Oat and Green Tea extracts, it helps to protect the skin as if it were an invisible shield, preventing annoying rashes.
