To celebrate the railway clock's 75th anniversary, Mondaine has created a special anniversary package to present the Classic, its 1986 watch. The box is marked with a large number 75, and fits both the watch as well as the additional textile wristband. The watch lives on through its three signature colours – red, white and black. The additional wristband is made from recycled PET bottles. The wristband has with Mondaine's new, quick-change system.
The stainless steel casing has a matte, brushed finish and is enhanced by the beautiful, soft leather wristband with monochrome stitching. In addition, the box includes a specially commissioned history of the official Swiss railway clock.
The railway clock is one of the most renowned clocks in Swiss history. It is a design icon, which remains as innovative and relevant today as 75 years ago, when Hans Hilfiker first took up his pencil and unwittingly became part of Switzerland's modern history.

IP Gold-plated and brushed for a glamorous more opulent choice, this Classic timepiece is begging to be worn with flicked bangs and a flare. Even the SBB dial has been given a brushed silver metallic update with a sheen that gives extra highlight to the polished gold hour indices and hands. Debossed minute marks are an understated style hit that screams sophistication.
IP Gold Plating, this is one of the newest surface coating procedures and also the most advanced till date. It involves adding a titanium nitride layer to the base metal, in a vapor form. The end result is a harder and more durable surface which offers greater brightness and sheen than the traditional methods of plating.
In fact, experiments conducted to gauge the durability of ion plating have shown that IP plated surfaces are five to eight times more durable and resilient to corrosion and wear as compared to surfaces obtained through other plating processes
